Adequately optimized: System runs reliably with minor bottlenecks; tuned periodically or when major issues arise.
Under-optimized / over-provisioned: We allocate excess CPU/memory to avoid slowdowns rather than tuning workloads or queries.
Constrained / experiencing bottlenecks: System regularly encounters CPU, memory or I/O contention that impacts users or batch windows.
Uncertain / not actively measured: We lack the tooling, metrics or time to assess optimization levels.

How does your IBM i environment handle high-volume or peak-period document and label generation (e.g., batch invoices, end-of-day shipping)?

Significant bottlenecks: Batch generation or printing takes too long and causes delays on shipping docks or in customer delivery.
We had to scale hardware/servers: We added CPU/memory or off-platform servers specifically to handle document generation demands.
We do not currently monitor the performance impact of our document workflows.

Off-platform communication latency: Moving data back and forth between IBM i and external PC/Windows servers slows down output.
Printer/hardware limits: Physical printers or network bandwidth can't keep pace with operational volume.
