National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) is working to understand the needs of the end-user community and identify how remotely sensed data is used. This survey is part of an ongoing, multi-faceted effort to engage with the end-user community. These survey results—along with additional data collection efforts—will be used to inform the development of the next generation of weather and environmental satellites.

This survey will take 10-20 minutes to complete and has a variety of sections that will allow us to better understand your needs for information. First, you will be asked about your specific role in the fire sector. Then, you will be asked to answer a series of questions about how identified user needs map to your daily work. Finally, you will be asked to provide some basic demographic information.

Participation in this survey is voluntary, and recipients have the option to remain anonymous. NOAA is very grateful for your input and perspective. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Vanessa Escobar, User Engagement Scientist at vanessa.escobar@noaa.gov or the User Engagement Team at GEOXOUserNeeds@cadmusgroup.com with any specific questions.
