1. Welcome
Hello!
MSAE welcomes the opportunity to partner with you to enhance the learning and leadership experiences of our members. As you may know, ORGPRO is Michigan’s premier education and networking event for organization professionals in the not‐for‐profit‐sector. This event attracts nearly 400 chief staff executives, senior executives, meeting and education professionals, administrative and specialty staff, and a host of industry suppliers each year. As you can imagine, speakers play an integral role in developing a meaningful education experience.
ORGPRO is scheduled for July 8‐10, 2013, at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Now through Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, the ORGPRO Program Committee is accepting presentation proposals for this event. New this year, most concurrent breakout sessions will be scheduled for 75 minutes; however, a few deep dive sessions will be planned for 150 minutes. Likewise, all presentations will be scheduled for either July 9 or 10, 2013.
In order to be considered as an ORGPRO speaker, you must complete and submit this online form for each proposed presentation (a maximum of two). We are seeking presentations that provide the following:
1. Relevant and timely topics, including the latest trends and analysis, best practices and case studies.
2. Innovative learning formats that engage the audience and support retention beyond 90 days.
3. Open and inclusive environments for interaction and dialogue.
New this year, the ORGPRO Program Committee will also utilize MSAE’s proprietary professional development model to select presentations. Tracks will be established around the capacities of association knowledge, industry understanding and personal awareness. These capacities are defined in detail later in this call for presentations.
Speakers will be notified no later than Jan. 31, 2013, as to the status of their proposal(s). If accepted, MSAE will negotiate a speaker’s agreement at that time describing the expectations of each party.
Please be advised when filling out the survey that once you begin you must enter information for each question and you must finish the survey when you start it. If you save and try to continue at a later time, the previous information will not be on the final submission. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Edward Woods III, director of learning and leadership experiences, by phone at (517) 332‐6723 or by email at woods@msae.org.
On behalf of the ORGPRO 2013 Program Committee, I extend my appreciation for the time and resources you employ to help us make this a valuable and trusted event for Michigan’s association community.
Sincerely,
Aaron D. Wolowiec, MSA, CAE, CMP, CTA
ORGPRO 2013 Program Committee Chair
