The MO HealthNet Community Connection (MCC) is an opportunity for a diverse group of chosen MO HealthNet participants, their families, and caregivers, to use their lived experience with MO HealthNet (Missouri Medicaid) to advise and make recommendations to the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) in an effort to improve the MO HealthNet Program.
The MCC will work to engage participants and their family members to improve the participant experience, practice, and culture. The MCC will respect and value individual strengths, preferences, and contributions.
The MCC will provide opportunities for collaboration between MHD and participants with the goal of improving the participant experience and the relationship between MHD and its participants.
The MCC will work to build MHD team members empathy and skills by engaging with participants and families with lived experience, data collection, and accessing meaning behind relationships and data.
