What is this questionnaire about?
The Fort Pickett Maneuver Training Center (MTC) Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) is a collaborative planning effort conducted with Brunswick, Dinwiddie, and Nottaway counties, the Town of Blackstone, Fort Pickett MTC, and other affected stakeholders.
The purpose of the JLUS is to promote compatible land use near Fort Pickett MTC, support regional growth and economic development compatible with the military mission, protect public safety and quality of life, and protect mission capability at Fort Pickett MTC now and into the future.

The Ft Pickett MTC JLUS project utilized 25 compatibility factors to assess compatibility within the Study Area. Of the 25 compatibility factors assessed, 18 compatibility factors were found to have issues and a total of 45 compatibility issues were identified. This questionnaire asks the community for input on the timeframe each issue should be addressed. For each compatibility issue, provide your input on the timeframe the issue should be addressed by selecting one of the following:
Near-term (1-3 years): The issue is an immediate concern and should be addressed as soon as possible
Long-term (3 years +): This issue is a long-term concern and may require additional resources to address
Long-term (3 years +): This issue is a long-term concern and may require additional resources to address
On-going: This issue will require on-going measures to address
