This short survey seeks to understand clinician motivation, experience and learning needs when referring patients with incurable malignancy to Specialist Palliative Care.

While all health professionals are expected to support a person with palliative care needs, a specialist palliative care provider is health professional who has had extra training to provide specialist care for people with a life-limiting illness.

A specialist palliative care service is a service provided by a multidisciplinary team of specialist palliative care providers.

This care can be provided early in the illness trajectory alongside treatments intended to prolong life, with the goal of maintaining function, comfort, and dignity throughout the illness journey.
This questionnaire will require 3-5 minutes to complete. The findings from this questionnaire will in part inform the development of continuing medical education materials and are not subject to ethics approval or publication.
