We are a few short months away from the 88th Session of the Texas Legislature, which begins January 10, 2023. One of the biggest questions today is how will lawmakers spend the more than $27-billion increase in tax revenue.

However the 88th Session functions, the Abilene Chamber of Commerce will be highly involved advocating for our members on a wide variety of issues as we advocate for a strong economy and a free enterprise.

We are ready to develop our Legislative Agenda that will set the priorities for your local advocacy organization, going into the session.

We need your help in determining those priorities. Please take this survey before the deadline of Sept. 9 at 5:00 p.m. After responses have been collected, the Chamber’s Business Advocacy Council (BAC) will review and develop a draft Legislative Agenda that we will present to the Chamber Board for approval.

Each of the questions on the survey has a place for comments. Help us understand your answers, the issues you are facing today and what needs to be done to make the future better.
