The Melbourne Poche Centre for Indigenous Health at The University of Melbourne in partnership with King’s College London will offer an Indigenous Leadership Fellows Program, with modules in Melbourne and London in 2019.
The 2019 Poche Leadership Program is designed for Indigenous early career Fellows in health, who might be in academic, policy, clinical or research roles. The program brings together Fellows in a richly interconnected and interactive program, keeping a focus on the concepts of networks and collaboration. The program consists of 3 modules, and works to build Fellows expertise in their areas of leadership.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
The following essential criteria applies to all applicants considering applying for the Poche Indigenous Leadership Fellows Program:
Identify as Indigenous Australian. Be at an early career level in the health sector working. Applicants will be working in areas such as policy, advocacy, public service, or university and research environments. Applicants may be working towards completion of, or recent completion of a research higher degree. Passionate, innovative and ethical in working to improve outcomes including Indigenous health outcomes. Demonstrable commitment to professional leadership development. Recognised ability and/or skills working with diverse identities and groups. Able to commit to an extensive program and attend all modules throughout the year.
