"Recognizing Leaders in the Connected Minds Community" is a feature of the Connected Minds Monthly Musings Newsletter to celebrate the equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) work happening across the Connected Minds community.
We are asking members of the Connected Minds community to nominate:
1) Connected Minds registered faculty member, or
2) Connected Minds registered trainee, or
3) Trainee in a Connected Minds affiliated research or creation labs
that have contributed to integrating EDI within the research and/or creation community, field, and/or area for an opportunity to showcase their EDI contributions in our newsletter.
Examples of EDI work include, but is not limited to:
1) Creating a research/creation practices to increase diversity of authors cited in publications;
2) Developing a work-life balance statement in team onboarding packages;
3) Working with a local community to co-design a community-driven and focused research design;
4) Organizing and running an event for the development of ally skills; or
5) Leading research that is focused on uplifting individuals and communities from underrepresented groups.
Please note the following:
1) Individuals nominated to be featured in the Community Leader Highlight will be contacted via email.
2) Nominees will be entered into an applicant pool, and more than one may be awarded a Prize/Recognition for their EDI work at a future Connected Minds Retreat/Academic Conference.
