WC Public Works - Title VI Public Involvement

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 requires Whatcom County to ensure that everyone in the affected project areas has a chance to be heard and to respond to transportation programs and activities that may affect their community.

To help with that, we ask that you voluntarily provide us information about your race, ethnicity and/or gender. You are not required to disclose the information requested in order to participate in this meeting.

Whatcom County's Title VI Coordinator will handle the information gathered as confidentially as possible. For further information regarding this process please contact the Title VI Coordinator by phone at 360-778-6064.

It is the Whatcom County’s policy to assure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise discriminated against under any of its programs and activities. Any person who believes his/her Title VI protection has been violated, may file a complaint with Whatcom County's Title VI Coordinator.
