9:30 am.   203 Tadmor Valley Road, near Tapawera.
Learn about plant identification and seed collection in the existing stands of original Motueka native bush on a sheep and beef farm.  Eco-sourcing and what to look for to confirm local ecotype. There are a large variety of plants in seed at this location for learning.

We will do some practical seed collection and discuss processing seed.

There is also an opportunity for you to bring samples of branches with seed for identification and discussion.

You can also bring local eco-sourced seed to share or swap with others and to share with the host landowner. It is a Beech mast year and you will be shown how to build seed nets.
