This Network meeting will include a session titled “Ensuring Access and Accommodation for DPP Participants with Disabilities.” People who are at increased risk for diabetes are also more likely to have disabilities. In this hands-on session, we’ll talk about the challenges to creating accessible meeting spaces (especially when you have limited control of the site), and how to provide real-life accommodations for DPP participants with disabilities. You’ll leave with:

 - A checklist you can use to check a site’s access;
 - An understanding of how to address common accommodation requests;
 - Facilitation habits that all your participants will appreciate.

Question Title

* 8. Have you had challenges with access or accommodation? Ask your questions and/or briefly describe the situation below. We’ll use your submissions as a springboard for discussion.

Due to limited space, registration will close when capacity (50) is full. Registration deadline is COB Friday, March 15th.

Special Accommodations-Please indicate any accommodations you may need to participate fully in this meeting. Deadline to request special accommodations is March 15th. If requests are received after this date, we will do our best to accommodate your needs, but they cannot be guaranteed.

Due to the unpredictability of temperature at the venue, we recommend dressing in layers.
