LCHRA Human Resources Internship Grant |
Application information
Thank you for your interest in applying for a 2019 LCHRA Human Resources Internship Grant.
Requirements:
- Any LCHRA member employer is eligible to apply for the grant.
- Minimum duration of internship is 240 hours over the course of 6 weeks.
- A job description must be submitted with the application (email to LCHRA College Relations Chair - Michele Swift at michele.swift@bus.oregonstate.edu).
- Employers selected to receive a grant must submit a signed Individual Learning Plan for their intern within 10 days of the intern’s start date. If a learning plan is not received the employer forfeits the grant.
- Employer and intern will be required to complete a simple performance evaluation at the end of the internship.
Selection Criteria
- The internship committee will select recipient organizations based on the potential for the internship to offer the intern a meaningful learning experience and help the intern develop knowledge and skills related to the HR field.
- Preference will be given to internships located in Lane County.
Applications will be accepted until March 31, 2019 and grant recipients will be notified by April 15 2019.
Recruitment and selection of the interns are the responsibility of the grant recipients. Grant funds will be paid out to the recipients in two equal installments, one-half after the intern completes 120 hours and the balance after the intern completes 240 hours.
