Introduction

This is YOUR annual meeting! And we’d like to know your ideas for making it relevant and compelling to the work you do right now, every day, in your community.

What would you learn more about if you had the time?

What keeps you up at night?

What’s the “if” that drives your “then”?

What innovations excite you?

In short – what are the topics we should cover in 2016?

If you like to brainstorm in context, the Annual Meeting theme for 2016 is
Navigating the Currents of Change. What changes in the field or in your organization are you wrestling with now? What changes do you welcome? Which ones do you fear?

Also, our 2016 Annual Meeting will serve as a reflection of the priorities in our 2015-2020 Strategic Plan, including providing transformative thought leadership on the practice of philanthropy in the region. What topics come to mind when you think of thought leadership?

Once we’ve heard your thoughts, the 2016 Session Design Committee, comprised of a diverse and representative group of SECF members, will use your input to design sessions, recruit speakers, and organize the 2016 Annual Meeting program.  We may not be able to incorporate every suggestion, but you can bet the farm that we’ll take all of your ideas seriously.

Our robust automated idea collector is designed to handle up to three suggestions. If you have more, our real-life idea collector, Marianne Gordon, welcomes your ideas at Marianne@secf.org.

No one knows what you want to hear more than you!  Please share your suggestions.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Topics must be received on or before November 20, 2015 at 11:59 pm EST. You will receive an email within 24 hours confirming receipt of your suggested topic.
