Have your say on regulation of infant formula marketing in Austalia

Your experience matters

The Australian Government is asking the public about new rules for how infant formula is marketed in Australia. The new rules would help protect and promote breastfeeding while ensuring that infant formula is used properly when it is needed. This means families get clear information, and infant formula is distributed and sold appropriately.

This is your chance to share what you have seen and heard. Strong rules can help families make infant feeding choices without pressure from ads. They can also help protect breastfeeding.

ABA has created this survey to support the work of the government on this issue. We want to hear what parents and carers experience in everyday life—online, in shops, through online influencers, in health services, and when talking with health professionals.

These experiences will be shared with the Department of Health Disability and Ageing Care to aid in understanding people’s lived experiences of formula product marketing.

If you work in health the department are also interested in your specific experience in a health setting please complete their survey here.

Feel free to focus on questions you feel are important. Evidence, expertise and lived experience will play a vital role in strengthening the case for comprehensive regulation.
