DEL is sponsoring Coaching to Fidelity training – Fall
When and Where?
· September 28, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, ESD 112, Vancouver
· 2500 NE 65th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 986621
Who?
This training is free and available to ECEAP Contractors. ECEAP Early Achievers Coaches, Directors, Coordinators, and Managers who support and ensure implementation of the Creative Curriculum are encouraged to register. ECEAP staff is encouraged to register for the closet training in their region. Priority registrations given to ECEAP Contractor staff who have completed the two-day Creative Curriculum Implementation training.
What?
Participants will:
· Learn how to use Coaching to Fidelity and The Fidelity Tool for Administrators to support teachers at all levels in their implementation of The Creative Curriculum®
· Discover effective approaches to use when building relationships with and observing teachers.
What to bring?
Participants will use the following Creative Curriculum® resources at this training:
o Coaching to Fidelity, Preschool edition,
o The Fidelity Tool Teacher Checklist, and
o The Fidelity Tool for Administrators.
Registration
· Registration must be received two weeks before the training.
· You will receive an email confirming your registration once the registration survey has closed.
· A follow-up email will include directions to the training site and parking information.
Travel Costs:
CQEL is able to reimburse travel for teachers/staff in pilot programs. Before you attend the training, email Melissa Brown at mbrown26@uw.edu with your request for travel reimbursement. In your email include your home address, the name and date of the training, and the address for the training. You are eligible for reimbursement if you are traveling 60+ miles to the training (mileage refers to one way travel, not your round trip) and if you attend the full training. You must request reimbursement two weeks prior to the start date of the training AND receive email approval from CQEL before the training to receive reimbursement.
Parking:
Participants can park along the front of the ESD 112 on 65th Avenue. The confirmation email will include a map.
No-show policy:
I understand that the Department of Early Learning (DEL) is paying my fee for this training. If I am unable to attend, I will make every effort to secure a substitute from my program or from the DEL waiting list. If there is no substitute, I agree to pay the “no show” fee of $150 from non-ECEAP funds.
I acknowledge that my director/supervisor is aware of this no-show policy.
