Help us develop a $1-2 million investment plan for the Junction City School District.

Earlier this year, the State of Oregon adopted the Student Success Act (HB 3427). This law will provide historic levels of new funding to Oregon's public schools. The Junction City School District has not been informed of the exact amount of new funding to expect, but we estimate it could be between $1 million and $1.2 million per year beginning with the 2020-21 school year.

We need your help to determine how to invest this money in a way that best supports our students, beginning with the 2020-2021 school year. By law, Student Success Act (SSA) money can be spent in four broad categories:  providing a well-rounded education, increasing instructional time, better meeting student health and safety needs, and reducing class size.

We are asking all families, students, staff and interested community members to take this survey. Your responses will be used to help us plan and prioritize how we will invest these expected new funds next year and beyond.

Thank you!

The next few questions ask you to briefly share your thoughts about what is working well, what challenges you see, and what could be improved in the years ahead, regarding the top five priorities identified in the Student Success Act. Those five priority areas are:

• Reducing academic disparities
• Meeting students' mental or behavioral needs
• Providing equitable access to academic courses
• Supporting teacher and staff collaboration to support all students
• Establishing strong partnerships for student achievement
