As a board member, you’ll be part of a group of decision-makers and can influence the current and future shape of A Million Dreamz. Completing this form will help you understand the skills, time and resource commitments of this position. You may find it helpful to read through the entire application and Board Member Responsibilities before you begin filling this out.

BOARD MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure continuous dedication to the organization’s mission through support, oversight and fundraising.
- Serving as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director as they oversee the day to day operations, decisions for the organization, it’s programs and the development and implementation of A Million Dreamz strategic plan.
- Reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings.
- Approving A Million Dreamz annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all fiduciary responsibilities.
- Contributing to an annual performance evaluation of the Executive Director.
- Assisting the Executive Director and board chair in identifying and recruiting other Board Members.
- Partnering with the Executive Director and other board members to ensure that board resolutions are carried out.
Serving on committees or task forces and taking on special assignments. - Ensure A Million Dreamz commitment to a diverse board and staff that reflects the community.
- Accomplishment of its obligations as a body. It will allow no officer, individual, or committee of the Board to usurp this role or deter this discipline.
- Be an advocate for Early Childhood Education and potential solutions that align with A Million Dreamz’ mission.
