City of Hanford CONSOLIDATED PLAN NEEDS ASSESSMENT RESIDENT SURVEY
The City of Hanford is a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement City, which means it receives annual funding directly from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Activities funded must meet one of three national objectives: 1) Benefit low-and moderate-income persons, 2) Aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight, or 3) Meet an urgent community need. Staff is currently developing the Consolidated Plan to identify the needs in the community, and your input is requested. Your input will help the City determine the needs of the community and prioritize future use of federal funding. All responses are confidential. The online survey will be available until December 15, 2018. Thank you for your input.
Below are several activities eligible for CDBG funding. As you complete this survey, please consider the following: 1) The needs in your neighborhood and how they can be improved; 2) Rate the need level for each of the following items, and check the box that best applies. Using the range from High Need-Low Need, High indicates the highest need, Low indicates the lowest need.
