Ninth District PTA Committees Information and Interest Survey
Below is a list of various Ninth District PTA committees. If you would like an opportunity to share your talents, work with fun people, and expand your PTA knowledge, please provide your name and contact info below to be considered for one or more committee. We appreciate your interest in serving on a committee, but interest does not imply appointment. Thank you for understanding.
Annual Meeting Founders Day: This committee helps plan the program, decorations, PR, etc. for Ninth District PTA’s annual event in February. Work typically begins in October/November and heats up after the New Year.
Awards: This committee plans an event to honor Ninth District PTA’s amazing parent leaders. Traditionally the event is held in the spring. Planning involves which awards, where, when, etc., and will begin sometime after the Annual Meeting Founder’s Day.
Convention: This committee typically begins its work after the winter holidays planning the theme, hospitality suite goodies and events, promoting convention and communicating with attendees, and working in the suite during convention at the end of April in Ontario.
Grant: This committee meets after the October 15th deadline for grant requests and decides which program applications will be awarded grants based on budget and need. Winners are honored at Annual Meeting Founders Day.
Honorary Service Awards: This committee begins its work in late fall. A nomination form is sent out to Ninth District PTA members who can recommend deserving people/organizations within the Ninth District PTA boundaries who go above and beyond in serving children and families. The committee gathers once or twice, as needed, to decide on recipients. Winners are honored at Annual Meeting Founders Day.
Hospitality: This committee provides refreshments for Ninth District PTA meetings. All budgeted expenses are reimbursed.
