Longview anticipates receiving Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME funds for FY2024-25 available on October 1, 2024. Exact grant amounts have not been announced at this time.



CDBG: The funds can only be spent on projects that meet at least one of the national objectives listed here:

1. Directly benefit low and moderate-income persons

2. Address elimination of slum and blight.

3. Meet an urgent need (i.e., natural disaster)



HOME: HOME funds can only be used for projects qualify as one of the eligible housing activities listed here:

1. Assist owner–occupants with the rehabilitation of their homes

2. Finance, purchase, rehabilitation, or new construction for homebuyers

3. Rehabilitate or construct affordable rental housing
