The awards brochure clearly outlines the important elements of a successful application.
I believe that my application was fairly judged during the application process.

I would find value if SSTI produced a white paper on the best practices, lessons learned, and other insight into the award winners.

3.To mark the 10th Anniversary of the SSTI Excellence in TBED awards program, we have decided to create new awards categories to better reflect the change face of economic development. Please rate the new categories on a scale of 1 to 5, from poor to excellent, based on the category's ability to reflect the current field of TBED.

Building Economic Prosperity through Science & Technology – initiatives that support economic prosperity by expanding research capacity and/or moving technologies from the bench to the market place.
Increasing Economic Prosperity through Entrepreneurship & Capital – initiatives that provide the vital support and/or capital necessary to cultivate a community of entrepreneurs and help transform their idea into a sustainable, high-growth business.
Creating Economic Prosperity through Increasing Opportunity – initiatives that increase opportunity for their communities by providing services and other support to unleash the potential of the community’s human capital and local industries. 
Up and Coming TBED Initiative – initiatives that are reshaping the field of economic development. These efforts are using new and exciting methods or are taking an innovative approach to apply proven strategies that spur economic prosperity.
