with alterations recommended by the membership at the March 17, 2023 MNPD Meeting biannual bylaws review (alterations are highlighted in the draft).

A proposal was brought forth to add a Communications & Outreach Executive Board Member and an associated Communications & Outreach Committee.
The duties of this officer would include:
-Oversees the activities of the Communications & Outreach Committee and re ports committee activity to the board and membership.
-Coordinates MNPD's online presence through our website and social media platforms as identified by the Communications & Outreach Committee to support current members.
-Collaborates with the President-Elect and Executive Board to support membership and recruitment activities.
-Represents the organization to the nursing and public community.
The Communications & Outreach Committee:
a. Shall consist of 3-5 active MNPD members
b. Volunteers shall be sought biannually, and members may serve two (2) consecutive terms.
c. Per the MNPD bylaws, the Executive Board shall name the members of standing and special committees
d. The committee shall work with the Communications & Outreach Executive Board Member to coordinate and implement communication and outreach strategies for current members and for recruitment purposes.
