Highway 73 Corridor Study, Phase 3 Survey Questions

The proposed design layout is shown below. The proposed design includes the following:

· Removal of driving lanes in each direction to narrow the roadway for safety. Lane reduction is appropriate given the current and projected traffic volumes on Highway 73.

· Frontage roads are maintained with some access changes for safety and visibility.

· Intersections are improved for safety and pedestrian and bicycle accessibility, including the addition of a roundabout at West Lake Street.

· A multi-use path is added on the west side of the roadway and a sidewalk is added on the east side of the roadway. A pedestrian crossing is added at 5th Street Southwest.
