Civic Science Inquiry to Action Program

CELF Civic Science Inquiry to Action incorporates Next-Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and inquiry into project-based learning. The program provides interdisciplinary training for middle & high school teachers with an emphasis on STEM, Social Studies and Health. Civic Science projects can be adapted to a variety of instructional settings (in person, online or hybrid). They engage students (grade 5-12) as environmental health researchers to collect and analyze air quality data, to identify sources of air pollution, and to develop prevention and remediation plans for their communities.

During the 2020-2021 school year, CELF will be offering the Civic Science Inquiry to Action program in various configurations to educators across the country. To help us match you to the most suitable cohort and to available scholarship/stipend opportunities, please take a few minutes to complete this brief application. Based on your responses, we will notify you of acceptance and program details on a rolling basis as applications come in (by the end of January 2021).
