This study is part of the Faith Development Project. The purpose of the Faith Development Project is to identify how faith development is related to personality, academic performance, motivation to read, psychosocial development, and radicalization in adolescence, and to see how these relationships are affected by cognitive development, religiousness, and spirituality. In this study, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire on radicalization. You will also have the opportunity to participate in future studies on psychosocial development and cognitive development. This study will require approximately 10-20 minutes of your time.
You must be at least 18 years of age or older. In order to participate in this study, you must first have participated in The Faith Development Project: Study 1 – Faith Development.
You will be asked to answer personal questions about yourself, which could make you a little uncomfortable. Some of these questions will probably be offensive to some people. These questions are similar to many psychological surveys and will expose you to no greater risks than you face in normal, everyday living.
You will be helping contribute to psychological science by participating in this survey. More specifically, you will be contributing to never-before-conducted research on faith, academic performance, motivation to read, and psychological variables that have not previously been investigated in these combinations. You will have the opportunity to learn more about this research. You may learn more about yourself by reflecting on the questions you will be asked. You will also receive research participation credit in exchange for the time you spend participating, which your instructor may or may not count as extra credit.
