A Home Zone is a neighborhood that supports and encourages active travel, play, and community building. We're creating a plan for a Home Zone in Lake City, which will make streets safer and more comfortable for people walking, rolling, and playing.

We’ve heard your concerns about speeding and cut-through traffic in the neighborhood and are exploring ways to help reduce both, but we need your feedback! Some of these changes, like adding traffic diverters, can impact how you drive and get around.

If the community is interested in traffic diverters, we’ll start with a temporary pilot to help neighbors understand the changes they will bring. We’ll use your feedback to determine what needs to be changed before making any projects permanent. This survey will help us understand your priorities as we consider project ideas to make your neighborhood streets safer and more comfortable.

To learn more about these ideas, please join us for an open house on Thursday, Nov. 13 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Lake City Branch of the Seattle Public Library.
