As part of the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia's (WMRR) commitment to developing and growing our essential sector, we are delighted to be running our Young Professionals (YPs) Scholarship Program in 2026.
This program provides an opportunity for YPs in the waste and resource recovery (WARR) industry to be funded by WMRR to attend and present at one of WMRR’s national conferences. Two (2) scholarships will be offered this year, aligned to the two (2) national conferences delivered by WMRR in 2026 – the ENVIRO Conference in June (Adelaide) and Australian Landfill and Transfer Stations Conference in October (Brisbane). This application form relates to the Australian Landfill and Transfer Stations (ALTS) Conference, which will be held in Brisbane, QLD from the 21-23 October 2026.
The value of each scholarship is up to a total of $2,500 and will cover all reasonable expenses related to conference travel, accommodation, and registration.
Applicants must submit a conference abstract as part of this application and meet all eligibility criteria. The scholarship program’s terms and conditions document, which includes eligibility criteria can be found here.
