The STRIVE Leadership & Development Program is designed to empower young people aged 14-18 to develop their skills across a wide range of areas within our organisation, including coaching, officiating, event management, administration, and marketing.
Through this program, participants will receive education and mentorship to strengthen their abilities as coaches and officials. They will also have the opportunity to work alongside SALAA staff in the planning and delivery of our State Events.
Participants can work towards gaining skills and accreditations that will enable them to contribute to their Little Athletics Club as a Support Coach, Official, or Tiny Tots Coordinator. They will also have the chance to represent Little Athletics South Australia at State Events, Academy, Holiday Clinics, and other events.
To be eligible for the STRIVE Leadership & Development Program, participants must be aged between 14 and 18 years and be actively involved in a Little Athletics Club as an Athlete, Coach, Official or Volunteer.
Once a Youth Volunteer has volunteered 10 hours, they will receive a SALAA certificate of completion at the end of the season.
If you require any further information, please contact Club Development Manager, Daniel Pauli, on development@salaa.org.au or call the office on (08) 8352 8133.
