Community Road Sweeping Scheme

Have your say on keeping our roads and streets clean

Skipton Town Council is considering purchasing a small road sweeper to provide additional road sweeping in our town, supplementing the existing services provided by NYC (North Yorkshire Council).

The aim would be to help keep our streets, roads and public spaces cleaner, particularly in areas where additional sweeping may be needed. To make the scheme viable, it would rely on local volunteers who would receive appropriate training to operate the equipment safely.

Before making any decisions, the Council would like to hear residents’ views on whether the scheme would be worthwhile, where additional sweeping is most needed, and whether residents would be willing to volunteer.

Your feedback will help the Council assess the level of community support and whether a volunteer-led scheme would be practical.

Please complete the following short survey. Your answers do not commit you to volunteering.
