The Northumberland Eats Feed Strategy is designed to support community-based food programs that provide nutritious meals and meaningful social inclusion opportunities to individuals facing housing insecurity, employment instability, food insecurity, or social isolation.
Through this strategy, we aim to strengthen communal meal programs and food hubs across Northumberland County by offering financial support to help them serve those most in need. Whether it's a hot meal shared in a welcoming space or a food initiative that brings people together, these programs play a vital role in fostering dignity, connection, and nourishment.
To ensure equitable access across the region, a maximum of $1400.00 is available per municipality through this program. Applicants are encouraged to describe how their initiative will use these funds to support vulnerable populations and promote inclusive, community-based food solutions.
