Blue Springs is updating the Comprehensive Plan to set the stage for the future of the community. The Plan will assess land use and place types, transportation networks and facilities, sustainability and resilience, and existing infrastructure to establish a baseline for existing conditions in Blue Springs. At the same time, a demographic, economic, and market analysis, housing portfolio analysis, and foundational revenue analysis will be completed to create a Comprehensive Plan that accurately reflects the community’s shared vision and priorities.
Public engagement throughout the Comprehensive Plan update is paramount to its success as a meaningful tool for the City. Your participation in the Community Questionnaire assists the project team understand the goals, needs, and everyday lived experiences of Blue Spring’s community members. To compliment this questionnaire, the City will host pop-up events, public meetings, and open houses throughout 2026 – offering several opportunities to help shape the future of the City.
