Children who are blind or visually impaired represent a wide range of sightedness. As a result, we created the Alternative Text Teacher Administration Manual, Tactile Graphics Assessment manual, and concrete manipulatives to ensure accessibility for all children who are blind or visually impaired. You should follow the child’s instructional team recommendations for any or all supports on a child-by-child basis. You should also check the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for any accommodations and/or modifications. Please fill out this form to order the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment in the Alternative Text Format, which includes a Test Item Booklet and a set of tactile manipulatives.

Each kindergarten teacher needs one kit.

Note: The Alternative Text Test Administration Manual (ATTAM) is available for you to download from the Professional Development area of the KReady system in the Updates section.

The Kindergarten Readiness Assessment materials are secure documents and must be kept in a secure location under lock and key, except during actual administration. Under no circumstances is the ATTAM to be shared or emailed. Detailed information about the KRA, including test security, administration policies and procedures, resources for teachers, and resources for families are available at
