2026 WEHI International PhD Scholar Initiative Survey

The WEHI International PhD Scholar Initiative (IPSI) provides outstanding international students the opportunity to join WEHI for their PhD studies with scholarships awarded to the top applicants. Prospective students are encouraged to investigate PhD projects available at WEHI and contact supervisors as part of the application. Although this is not a requirement for the application, it is highly encouraged that you reach a written agreement for a PhD project at this stage.

Applications for these scholarships will be assessed on the basis of their motivation to do a PhD, academic record and relevant research experience, then shortlisted for a video-conference interview.

All applicants are required to provide referee report. Shortlisted applicants will be requested to provide supporting letter from a WEHI Supervisor. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by end of November 2026.
