Bus Survey General Survey

In response to a number of parent concerns around KOOSH children traveling on public buses between their respective schools and KOOSH with limited supervision, KOOSH is looking at the possibility of hiring a charter bus. This bus service would be for KOOSH students only, attending after school care and travelling directly from the schools where our KOOSH students attend.

We wish to survey both actual and potential KOOSH parents to gauge interest in a charter bus service and commitment for KOOSH fees to be increased to cover use of this service.

This $7.50 sessional increase would be offset by the Federal Government ‘s Child Care Subsidy Scheme, and the cost of Opal fare each afternoon.

Please note the following amounts are based on CCS percentage entitlement, 72 hours of approved care per fortnight and one booked After School Care session per week. Please check your CCS entitlements.

For example, estimated out of pocket increase to fees are:

·         85% entitlement-$4.71 per session minus $1.12 (opal) = approx. $3.59

·         65% entitlement-$5.37 per session minus $1.12 (opal) = approx. $4.25

·         50% entitlement-$5.86 per session minus $1.12 (opal) = approx. $4.74
