Information about Being in a Research Study
  Lamar County Needs Assessment

Description of the Study and Your Part in It: The students at Texas A&M University-Commerce Master of Social Work department are inviting you to take part in a research study. The purpose of the study is to collect information in order to assist the United Way of Lamar County in determining specific areas in which funding from the United Way of Lamar County would be beneficial. The survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
 
Risks and Discomforts: There are no known risks associated with participation. 
Possible Benefits: There are no known benefits for you directly by participating in this survey. 
 Incentives: No financial or other compensation will be offered.

Protection of Privacy and Confidentiality: Participation is anonymous, and no personally identifiable data will be collected from you. Data will be contained and stored in the office of Dr. Brenda Moore on the Texas A&M University - Commerce campus. Only Dr. Moore and the students participating in the research will be granted access to any of the data in order to ensure confidentiality and the integrity of the data. All data compiled as a result of this study will be maintained by Dr. Moore for three (3) years after completion.  

Choosing to Be in the Study:
Taking part in this study is completely voluntary. Completion of the survey indicates your willingness to participate.
