4-H Program Leader Reference: Regional 4-H PYD Regional Champion Network Membership Application |
Dear 4-H Program Leader
You have been asked to provide support information for one of your 4-H professionals who is applying to be a 4-H PYD Champion and a member of the Regional 4-H PYD Champion Network.
The Regional 4-H PYD Champion Network is made up of two 4-H professionals from Land-Grant Universities (LGUs) across the five Extension Regions. Champions are chosen through a competitive application process for a two or three year term. Champions will work together in their Extension regions under the leadership of a national facilitator to advance the consistent use of the 4-H Thriving Model as the theory of positive youth development for 4-H. Regional networks will focus primarily on capacity building efforts for 4-H professionals and volunteers, with a special focus on consistent orientation for onboarding new 4-H professionals.
You may be asked to complete this form for more than one 4-H professional at your LGU. Our goal in asking for this information from you is to ensure the applicant has the adequate expertise, time availability, commitment and support to be a successful champion.
Information that you provide will be used for application review and selection purposes only. We will not share any information provided with the applicant.
Thank you for your time in providing this important information.
If you have any concerns regarding this support request, please contact Maria Walker at maria.walker@unl.edu
Submission Deadline: January 15, 2022
