Weigh in on the design for the Bus Stop at 25th & State in East St. Louis, Ill

Citizens for Modern Transit (CMT) is teaming up with the St. Clair County Transit District (SCCTD) and AARP in St. Louis to activate the space around a bus stop in East St. Louis, Ill., located at 2510 State Street. This joint initiative, known as the “Transit Stop Transformation Project,” will transform the area around the bus stop – into a safe, bright, user-friendly space that cultivates increased transit use, safety and security while promoting the surrounding jobs and retail corridor.

Based on community feedback over the last several months, the following design elements have been selected as components of the initial project design by Trivers Architects including an enhanced shelter, seating, lighting, wayfinding, landscaping and trash receptacles. Please complete the following survey to weigh in and share your opinions on the proposed design elements. The project is expected to be completed by early 2026.
