Feedback on the Town of Cambridge draft Public Health Plan
In line with Department of Health WA guidance, the Town’s draft Public Health Plan focuses on three key priority areas as identified in the Town of Cambridge’s Health and Wellbeing Profile Report for 2011-2020:
- Encourage and support active living
- Encourage and support healthy eating
- Prevent injuries and promote safer communities
The Town’s Plan also aligns with State public health priorities and adopts the following four objectives:
- Promote – Foster strong, connected communities and healthier environments
- Prevent – Reduce the burden of chronic disease, communicable disease, and injury
- Protect – Safeguard public and environmental health, manage emergencies, and reduce the health impacts of climate change
- Enable – Strengthen systems, workforce capacity, and partnerships that support community health and wellbeing
The State’s objectives relating to Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing, and Equity and Inclusion are embedded throughout the Town’s Public Health Plan ensuring they were considered in all actions and applied, where possible, in collaboration with relevant departments. These efforts are guided by the Town’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP).
Please tell us how strongly you agree or disagree with the following statements relating to the actions in the Town’s draft Public Health Plan (found on pages 32 - 47 of the document).
