Snoxhall Machine Shed Project
Cranleigh Parish Council is working on a long term project to modernise Snoxhall Pavilion to meet the future needs of sports clubs in Cranleigh as our community grows. Key to this project is re-locating the machine shed to unlock the pavilion’s potential to be expanded and modernised to provide more changing rooms and better facilities. The machine shed will be the first phase of the pavilion modernisation project. The next phase will look at increasing the number of changing rooms and modernisation to make the building adaptable to meet the future needs of our wider community.
Cranleigh Parish Council is in the process of bidding for Strategic CIL funding to build a new machine shed at Snoxhall Fields to serve the future grounds maintenance needs for its recreation grounds and open spaces in Cranleigh and any future grounds obtained through local government reorganisation. The total project cost is in the region of £300,000, of which the Parish Council will be providing 25% matched funding.
The site compound has already been prepared at Snoxhall Fields and planning permission has been obtained.
To support the Parish Council’s funding bid, it must provide evidence of community support for this project.
