The HyInHeat project plays an essential role in demonstrating the practical application of hydrogen in high-temperature industrial processes. With a focus on sectors like steel and aluminium, it showcases the potential of hydrogen to replace fossil fuels in furnaces and kilns. This aligns closely with the European Union’s evolving hydrogen strategy, which has shifted from aspirational targets to pragmatic implementation. This questionnaire will help the consortium to understand the challenges and gaps from a broader perspective than the one of the consortium.
