More people are using local services, and the Town Council may have to make some difficult choices about what it can provide in the future.

One option is for Wem Town Council to take over some services from Shropshire Council, such as litter picking and cutting grass verges.

If this happened, the Town Council part of your Council Tax would need to go up to pay for these services. The Shropshire Council part of your bill would not go down, so you would pay more overall. In return, the Town Council could provide these services more often and to a higher standard, helping to keep Wem cleaner, tidier and better cared for.
