Like many districts throughout the nation, we are struggling to find enough bus drivers to drive our routes.  The vaccine mandate has created an even greater challenge to staffing, transportation, and other departments in the NVSD.  We are gearing up to open our doors to In-Person learning but will be asking for continued support and collaboration from families.  Specifically, we are hoping that families could help by dropping off and picking up their child at school each day. This will lessen the number of bus stops, thus enabling us to offer bus routes with fewer drivers. We understand that transportation is a challenge for some families and stand ready to find a way to transport your child/children, but are hopeful that the families in our community that can arrange their own transportation are willing to do so until we solve the bus driver shortage.

Would you be able to drop off and pick up your children at school?

In order to plan for In-Person instruction, we must also have a firm number of how many people wish to continue using Comprehensive Distance Learning versus In-Person instruction, for the short term.  Reminder- our goal is all students in the school buildings five days a week.  There will come a time where CDL is not longer an option, but we are allowing this option while the COVID numbers are high

For the child listed above, do you plan to send them to In-Person learning when the school begins to implement
