Nominee Information

The CEC Special Educator Rising Star Award recognizes a birth – grade 12 teacher or specialized instructional support personnel CEC member who is in the first five years of their special education career and who currently provides instruction to students with disabilities and/or gifts and talents.

THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF ALL MATERIALS IS 11:59 P.M. ET, AUGUST 31, 2026. Incomplete or late submissions will not be accepted, nor will those for individuals who do not hold current CEC membership.
