Complete Streets are For Everyone!
Complete Streets are a vital part of livable, attractive communities and are designed and operated to enable safe access for all users, including pedestrains, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities.
Towns with a Complete Streets approach routinely look for opportunities to make relatively low cost, fast to implement, with a high impact of access and safety improvements which responds to its community context.
AECOM has been asked by the Town of New Milford to assist in developing a Complete Streets Master Plan which is a document, developed with input from its residents, that identifies community goals and assists town administrators when applying for funding such as grants.
There is NO "one-size-fits-all" approach toward having Complete Streets in your community only to identify opportunities that are inclusive of all users, of all ages and abilities access to available transportation options and destinations.
