Welcome to Calm Waters' Student Support Group Registration
Calm Waters’ FREE, 9-week Student Support Groups are open to any child, Pre-K to 12, in the state of Oklahoma, who has experienced loss due to:
Death, Divorce, Foster Care & Adoption, Military Deployment, Incarceration, or Deportation.
Each support group is organized by age and availability, and in-person groups will commence once at least five students within their age-group at the same school address are enrolled in an in-person group. The in-person student support groups will begin at each partner school’s discretion.
The continued goal of all student support groups is to teach children coping skills that they will utilize for the rest of their lives.
The mission of Calm Waters is supported by grant funding and individual donations. Most grantors request demographic information about Calm Waters participants, such as age, gender, race and income. This grant funding allows Calm Waters to continuously provide FREE grief support services to children and families in their grief journey caused by death, divorce or other significant loss.
Once your child's support group is complete, Calm Waters will email you a post-group survey, allowing us to see the improvement your child has made and to consider potential updates to our curriculum.
