Leadership Institute Scholarship Application: Leadership Essentials Survey

Program Details

The TEAM GPS Foundation, in partnership with College of the Desert's PaCE program, is proud to offer scholarships for the Leadership Essentials Certificate program, a 7-course training program designed to equip hospitality and tourism professionals with the leadership skills needed to advance their careers. Coursework covers employee engagement, leadership essentials, authentic leadership, emotional intelligence, values and ethics, project management, and the challenges of leadership. This scholarship is intended for supervisors and managers, employees who are new to supervisory roles or those who demonstrate strong potential for career growth.

Employers will be contacted to verify eligibility, and scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to the most qualified candidates.

Additional Information:

Each module is a half day, in-person commitment of approx. 4 hours. Employers are responsible for paying any applicable wages, benefits or expenses while the employee is in training. Scholarship recipient needs to begin first course within 90 days of scholarship award notice. The 7 courses must be completed within one-year of start date.

The TEAM GPS Foundation scholarship will cover the cost of registration for the 7-module training program (valued at approx. $1,050).

Each employment site is limited to six (6) individual scholarship awards in one calendar year.
