About the Grants Program YACWA Small Grants Program is supported by Lotterywest. Organisations will be able to apply for up to
$10,000, with grants assessed based on the following criteria:
Alignment with YACWA’s Early Intervention and Prevention Policy Priorities, specifically in:
- Youth mental health and community building, and/or
- Supporting young people at risk of entering the youth justice system.
Priority consideration will be given to organisations located in
regional, rural, and remote areas, particularly in:
- Pilbara
- Kimberley
- Great Southern
Grant applications will open on
October 13, 2025.
About the workshops Workshops will be held during
October and November.
They will cover:
- Applying for the YACWA Small Grants Program
- How to write a strong grant application
- Incorporating principles of child and youth safeguarding into your project
Host organisations will need to provide:
- A suitable venue for the workshop
- Equipment – tables, chairs, a projector and screen or a TV
- A representative from your organisation to assist with logistics on the day
- Promotion of the workshop
- Promotion of the grants program when it opens
YACWA will provide:
- A facilitator
- Lotterywest merchandise for participants
- Grant applications guideline resource
- Catering for all attendees
