Expression of Interest - YACWA Small Grants Workshop

About the Grants Program
YACWA Small Grants Program is supported by Lotterywest. Organisations will be able to apply for up to $10,000, with grants assessed based on the following criteria:
Alignment with YACWA’s Early Intervention and Prevention Policy Priorities, specifically in:

Youth mental health and community building, and/or
Supporting young people at risk of entering the youth justice system.

Priority consideration will be given to organisations located in regional, rural, and remote areas, particularly in:

Pilbara
Kimberley
Great Southern

Grant applications will open on October 13, 2025.

About the workshops
Workshops will be held during October and November.

They will cover:

Applying for the YACWA Small Grants Program
How to put together a project plan, including a budget, timeline, and risk management
Incorporating principles of child and youth safeguarding into your project

Host organisations will need to provide:

A suitable venue for the workshop
Equipment – tables, chairs, a projector and screen or a TV
A representative from your organisation to assist with logistics on the day
Promotion of the workshop
Promotion of the grants program when it opens

YACWA will provide:

A facilitator
Lotterywest merchandise for participants
Grant applications guideline resource
Catering for all attendees
