About the Grants Program
YACWA Small Grants Program is supported by Lotterywest. Organisations will be able to apply for up to $10,000, with grants assessed based on the following criteria:
Alignment with YACWA’s Early Intervention and Prevention Policy Priorities, specifically in:
  • Youth mental health and community building, and/or
  • Supporting young people at risk of entering the youth justice system.
Priority consideration will be given to organisations located in regional, rural, and remote areas, particularly in:
  • Pilbara
  • Kimberley
  • Great Southern
Grant applications will open on October 13, 2025.

About the workshops
Workshops will be held during October and November.

They will cover:
  • Applying for the YACWA Small Grants Program
  • How to put together a project plan, including a budget, timeline, and risk management
  • Incorporating principles of child and youth safeguarding into your project
Host organisations will need to provide:
  • A suitable venue for the workshop
  • Equipment – tables, chairs, a projector and screen or a TV
  • A representative from your organisation to assist with logistics on the day
  • Promotion of the workshop
  • Promotion of the grants program when it opens
YACWA will provide:
  • A facilitator
  • Lotterywest merchandise for participants
  • Grant applications guideline resource
  • Catering for all attendees
