The Territory Economic Reconstruction Commission’s Final Report identifies drones as one of the emerging digital technologies that will play a critical role in driving economic growth and job creation. To ensure the Territory capitalises on the opportunities presented by this emerging industry, the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade (DITT) is developing the Northern Territory (NT) Drone Industry Strategy.
The purpose of the strategy is to set targeted initiatives to grow the local drones industry, build technical capability and increase jobs and investment in the Territory. We are interested in the views of industry and industry associations, government agencies, educational institutions and the broader community and are seeking your input to inform the strategy which will be released for public consultation later this year.
