Credit River Watershed Plan – We want your input

Planning for the Future

Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) is developing a plan for the Credit River Watershed.

The Watershed Plan will use the latest science and input from many partners, stakeholders, and residents to inform how we protect and restore the local environment and build our infrastructure and communities.

If you live, work, or play in the Credit River Watershed, we want your input. Click here to look-up where you are in the watershed.

This is the second public survey in the watershed planning process. Your responses to the survey questions below will help shape the watershed plan and the process for future community engagement.
The Credit River Watershed
Situated within one of the most-densely populated regions of Canada, the Credit River Watershed contains some of the most diverse landscapes in southern Ontario. It includes all the land that drains into the Credit River, along with several smaller watersheds that flow directly into Lake Ontario - ranging from Applewood Creek in Mississauga to Clearview Creek in Oakville.

The Credit River is nearly 100 kilometres in length as it flows southeast from the headwaters near Orangeville and Mono, over the Niagara Escarpment in Caledon and Halton Hills, through the urban areas of Brampton, Milton, Oakville and Mississauga to Lake Ontario.
